
[Amsterdam, 16th April 2025] – Mews, the operating system for hospitality, is launching Multicurrency. This new feature, which is now available for customers in Europe, helps Mews achieve its vision of creating new revenue streams for hotels – all while enabling a world-class payment experience for guests.
Multicurrency is fully embedded within Mews’ automated payments platform – requiring no complex setup and connecting seamlessly with existing online booking flows and payment terminals.
Multicurrency gives international guests the option of paying in their preferred currency, both online and in person. Guests will benefit from seeing transparent prices and fees in a familiar currency, while hotels will boost revenue by retaining a portion of conversion fees that are usually kept by banks.
After a successful beta program involving over 100 hotels, which saw an average guest adoption rate of 43%, Multicurrency is now being launched across European markets with a global rollout planned for later this year.
“In the past, international payments have been a pain point as guests incurred hidden bank fees, while hotels missed out on revenue from conversion fees.
