India is world-famous for its tourism, food, and culture, and with its vast diversity, it does contain a lot of mesmerizing places that would force you to change your mind and visit them instead of any foreign location.

1. Tulips in Srinagar and Amsterdam

Srinagar’s tulip garden, on the banks of the Dal Lake, is in full bloom, drawing tourists to the Valley in droves. With plans to see Tulip gardens in Amsterdam, Netherlands, must go upon Tulip Garden, Chashm-e-Shahi in our very own India-Srinagar. It was amazing to see thousands of rainbow coloured tulips well-strewn on the Tulip Garden in picturesque hilly backdrop of Srinagar. Both these places resemble so much with each other that it will be difficult for you to find any difference. The garden, which has over 1.5 million tulips, is spread over 15 hectares on the foothills of Zabarwan mountains. It is the largest tulip garden in Asia. The garden, situated in the vicinity of Shalimar Garden, Chashm-e-Shahi Gardens, Nishat Garden and Royal Springs Golf Course, has become one of the important tourist destinations in the Valley. Earlier, tourists visited Srinagar to see the Mughal Gardens and Dal Lake. But now they prefer to visit the tulip garden and spend time watching the tulips in full bloom. This year, they have added 3.24 lakh more bulbs and 24 new varieties to make the garden more attractive.

2. Gulmarg in Kashmir and Switzerland

Gulmarg, popularly known as mini-Switzerland, is one of the most visited destination in Kashmir. The bright green meadows, tall Christmassy trees and snowcapped mountains paint a picture of happiness in your mind and soul. Both Countries are very worth visiting, Which one is better depends on what you expect, what you want to see, the distance you are willing to travel to get there and the budget you`re willing to pay. If you love and appreciate nature, your eyes will twinkle by the gulmarg sight and your mind will be lost in the beauty and serenity of this hillstation. The changing weather, the people, the snowy landscape and then a dash of green meadows, Gulmarg seems like paradise. In winter Gulmarg’s natural slopes and inclines, makes it India’s premier skiing resort; also offering winter sports like golf, ice hockey and heliskiing. The tourism in Gulmarg should be supervised and strict penalties should be applied by the government to ensure that the place stays clean and beautiful for the generations to come.

3. Alappuzha in Kerala And Venice, Italy

In the early 20th Century, the governor-general and viceroy of India George Nathaniel Curzon dubbed Alappuzha, at that point known as Alleppey, the “Venice of the East”, remarking that “Here nature has spent up on the land her richest bounties.”Venice has long had a reputation for an its crush of tourists in popular sights like St Marks Square, so much so that the city may soon charge for access to prime locations. Alappuzha is not quite at that level, but its city centre does bustle with chaotic activity, like few places in the state of Kerala. Venice is, of course, famous for its stunning churches, from the grand Saint Mark’s Basilica to many smaller chapels dotted around the lagoon. Similarly, the temples of Alappuzha are highly recommended. Just a short trip out of Alappuzha’s centre and you can reach a mesmerising paradise and floating towards Kerala’s backwaters is like descending into a dream of peaceful beauty. This is India at its best, and while it’s not Venice, it’s wonderful in its own right. The beauty and the tranquil backwaters captivated the Viceroy of the Indian Empire and now he made up his mind to compare this place to Venice which was at the time regarded as the city over water. Most of the people at this point in time agreed that this place was actually the Venice of the east because all of them would see the beauty that this state featured. From this point in time, many people continue to refer to it as Venice of the East.

4. Andaman and Nicobar Island, India And Phi Phi Islands, Thailand

Phi Phi Islands are the second most popular tourist destination in Thailand after Bangkok. If you are on the lookout for an alternative destination perfect for an island holiday, then the exotic beaches and turquoise waters of Andamans are a far better alternative. The archipelago is a masterpiece. Virgin beaches, nature trails, rich history, mesmerizing sunsets and barely any tourists; the islands of the Andamans are truly worth a visit. 5. The Gurudongmar Lake in Sikkim And Jökulsárlón Lake In Iceland

One of the highest lakes in the world Gurudongmar Lake in Sikkim is named after the Guru Padmasambhava. It is lavishly situated at an altitude of 5430 m and is considered one of the most sacred places in Sikkim. This is a naturally gifted lake with pristine valleys, water falls and rolling hills of Tibet. The journey starts from Lachen (North Sikkim). You have to start early (by 4am) from Lachen . Take a halt for breakfast at Thangu Village(13000 ft) , which is about 30 km from Lachen. Mostly inhabited by Nomadic tribes  Thangu valley is crisscrossed by Tista river , which adds an extra flavor to the picturesque village. It is said that a part of this lake never gets freezes irrespective of how low the temperature is. People believe that Guru Dongmar himself had once touched the lake and made it free from getting frozen. It is one of the most scenic and beautiful places that will give you the vibes of vacationing abroad. Chunks of ice glisten in the sun, much like diamonds, making for a really stunning view. You may also occasionally find seals hangint out on icebergs trying to sun themselves or catching fish. The pristine beauty of this place is definitely worth the days of travel it takes to get here. It is not just the views of the lagoon that you are going to savor, the journey to this gorgeous lake is nothing short of magical.
